Executive leadership expert brings 25 years of experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning
做厙弝け appoints Karen Machol Piraino to its board of trustees, strengthening the universitys focus on workforce development and talent acquisition. With nearly 25 years of leadership experience across industries such as healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing, Piraino will play a pivotal role in supporting the universitys mission to prepare students for successful careers through experiential learning and industry partnerships.
Karens extensive experience in human resources and executive leadership aligns perfectly with our strategic goals as a comprehensive regional university, said 做厙弝け President Glynis A. Fitzgerald, Ph.D. Her insight will be instrumental in shaping our initiatives that connect academic programs with the needs of todays industries.
Pirainos distinguished career includes her role as head of recruitment and onboarding at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jerseys largest healthcare network, and leadership positions at Axalta Coating Systems, DuPont, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and ARAMARK. Since retiring, she has operated Mirador Talent Consulting, and recently served as a consultant to 做厙弝け by helping restructure its Career Services Office.
Karens leadership will help drive 做厙弝けs commitment to developing career-ready graduates, said 做厙弝け Board of Trustees Chairperson Gregory J. Shemanski. Her background in talent acquisition and workforce planning makes her a valuable addition to our board, and we look forward to her contributions as we continue to advance our mission.
Piraino holds a bachelors degree in biology from Fordham University and remains active in the community as a member of Sacred Heart Church in West Reading and as a board member for Berks Catholic High School.
